What is mentoplasty?

Mentoplasty, also known as chin surgery, is a surgical procedure designed to modify the shape and/or size of the chin in order to create better harmony with the other facial features. This surgery can be performed for aesthetic or functional reasons, especially to improve breathing in cases of a retrognathic profile (underdeveloped jaw).
